HOW TO ENABLE AND DISABLE PASSWORD EXPIRATION FOR A USER IN WINDOWS 7

In windows 7 System administrator define maximum age for password expiration for a User. Maximum password age by Default is 42 days . If you are Enable Password Expiration then user Password will be Expire automatically after 42 days, then it will ask for a new password.

Follows these steps to Enable and Disable Password expiration

1. Click on Start button then Right-click on Computer and then click on Manage .



















2. Now on the Computer management Windows , navigate Local User and Groups , then Click onUsers , then on the Right pane Right-click on User (Com-networks) and then Click on Properties . 
















To Disable Password Expiration

4. Now Check Password never expires check box . and then Click on Apply and then Ok, then , Close computer management windows  .



















To Enable Password Expiration

5. N0w Go to Step-4 then Uncheck Password never expires check box and then Click on Apply andOK .






















Now If User Com-networks try to Log In after 42 days then It will show following error . then you have to give new password .
